Dwayne Waterman is a dedicated public servant currently in his first term as a Canton council member. A Georgia resident since childhood, he graduated from Milton High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University and a Master of Business Administration.

Professional Expertise and Community Involvement

Drawing on his extensive experience, Dwayne has held leadership positions in Industrial Engineering and Energy Commodity Management at global corporations like Siemens and Sodexo. He currently serves as the Corporate Energy Director for a manufacturer of complex metal components for the aerospace and industrial sectors.

His commitment to public safety began after graduating from the Canton Citizen's Police Academy in 2019. This led to his appointment and eventual co-chairmanship of the Canton Public Safety Citizens Advisory Board. A resident of River Green, Dwayne lives with his wife, Michele, and their two children, Jillian and James.
